All About Catering

They say there are three things guests will remember about a wedding. The dress, the music and the food! Just about everyone has an awful wedding food story to share making picking a caterer for your day a very tough decision. Roseville Estate offers you three excellent local catering companies, each with their own unique style, taste and presentation to make sure all of your guests are well taken care of and leave your wedding satisfied. Here are some thing to consider when choosing the right caterer for you!

Taste! This one seems obvious but it is of utmost importance and needed to be added to the list. A taste testing is a must! This is the perfect time to be open and honest with your caterer and discuss any concerns, special food needs and to answer any questions that you may have. If you have any concerns with the taste of the food or you're just looking to have something tweaked to your needs, a caterer should be able to accommodate.

Presentation! This is so important! When you're at the taste testing be sure to pay attention to how the food is presented and be sure to ask that this is what will be presented the day of the wedding. Remember that what you are seeing will also be presented to each and every guest on your big day! This is also when you should decide the way your guest tables will look. Types of dishes, cutlery and place setting all need to be taken into consideration and discussed with your caterer.

Budget! This is where things can change drastically. Do research on pricing ahead of time to get an idea of the general cost of catering in your area. This will save you from getting any surprises when meeting your caterer. Different catering companies have different things to offer so make sure you consider and discuss what those things are to have a better idea of why you're paying more or less for a specific company.

Go with your gut! This is probably the most important thing to remember when making ANY wedding day decisions. You need to feel a connection with all of the vendors you choose. If something doesn't feel right to you, or you feel like someone isn't being honest you need to go with that feeling. A professional relationship needs to be established for your sanity and to make sure the wedding day runs smoothly.

Below are some pictures of unique wedding food stations. There are so many great ideas and fun things you can do to incorporate food into the overall experience of the wedding!
